Introducing the World’s First Electronic Ink Tattoo

I'm pretty sure it would be impossible to work as shown in the video. E-Ink needs a layer of electrode "pixels" to change the color, and that kind of implant would require all sorts of government approval.

Interesting concept though, and it might be possible to set the pixels by setting a panel with electrodes against the skin. Then hopefully the tattoo would stay until reset.

If you're going to make a fake video, at least get the tracking between the tattoo and the arm correct.

date: April 1, 2015

Definitely a fake, but the idea is good though.

Same as ThinkGeek's one: https://www.thinkgeek.com/stuff/41/moodinq-tattoo.shtml

Can the title be changed to include [Hoax] or something? It's an interesting idea, so worth keeping around, but not actually anything approaching a real technology.

April Fools Day needs to stay on April 1.

What would the regulatory implications of such a tech be? Would it be FDA regs as a medical device (which would lead to a lot of testing to prove safety) or would it just e part of whatever a tattoo parlor already needs to do?

I love this idea :)

As a sidenote, their logo is really similar to Ghost's (https://ghost.org/)

I wish it were real, then we'd have a pop-up industry for e-tattoo removal as everyone would want to upgrade their tattoo every year.

very nice, but the video looks very fake?
