The only thing the UK press is faithful to is a good headline.

But I find the volatility of the opinion to a shock youtube video (ISIS) or a photo (migrants) quite disturbing. This is no way to run a country.

A better model might be that the (majority of the) UK press attempts to fashion good headlines in line with the broad interests of the Murdoch empire.

I can't understand what interests has Murdoch when he spreads hysteria and panic for months against the "30 million of romanian and bulgarian immigrants aiming UK" which was highly improbable and failed to materialize and now when confronted with actual waves of immigration from 3rd world or muslim countries, known to be hard or impossible to assimilate, they switch the tape and it's all emotions, humanity and manipulation. "Someone" does not have the best interests of british or european people at heart.

Strangely you may be right, the press runs the country, at least when it comes to peoples' opinions.

It is really sad to see people reading crap written by c*nts and believe it wholeheartedly, it is in the paper so it is true - is there a single truly independent paper in the uk that just reports the news accurately without resorting to bs headlines? I don't think so and if there was no one would buy it.

That the public opinion is now pretty much driven only by emotion, that policy is made to respond to the current public opinion and that modern diplomacy is now pretty much driven by shock youtube videos or photos.

The migrant crisis is no worse today than it was a week ago. The estimates of the number of migrants drowning in the Mediterranean sea have been known and consistent for months.
