Ask HN: Did the government influence your computer?

Hello HN,

I'm conducting a survey to understand the publics knowledge of history of the personal computer. It would really nice if you could spend a minute a fill this form out. :):

More specifically, I'm focusing on how the government impacted the development of the personal computer. If you would like to learn more, ARPA's funded project's are a good place to start. (They guys from ARPANET, Internet's precursor) Here is a website: http://www.computermuseum.li/Testpage/99HISTORYCD-ARPA-History.HTM And here is a book I'd recommend: "Transforming Computer Technology: Information Processing for the Pentagon, 1962-1986"

All the best, Richard
