Funny thing here in NZ, the main theatre chain Event doesn't even care if we go downstairs to the supermarket and bring in those snacks....

I think it is mostly because they charge $20+ for the movie ticket in the first place, though I get cheep tickets, $11, because of the deal with the major telco Spark
