Aside from the obvious benefit to human life that the article is focusing on, I'm curious how the food preservation can help as well. Does anyone know if this technology is already working to freeze food for commercial use?
(Though the Sushimen in places were freezing is mandated might like it - even though this type might not work since the objective of freezing is killing parasites in fish)
Food that's "flash frozen" will not develop long crystals that damage food as much and will taste much better after being defrosted.
It sounds very promising for food. I wonder why no one has come out with a consumer product. Anyone want to set up a kickstarter?
