I still don't know what devops is. I've heard the term a couple of times but wasn't able to figure out what it means, this article didn't help either.
I've always understood it as you write the code but also you manage the systems the code runs on. Development and Operations.
Sometimes it means I do the development work that developers don't want to do, sometimes it means I do the operations work that ops doesn't want to do.
At it's best, it's a process for communication between ops and dev where folks use a common platform to do what each do best, while collaborating on things which are shared concerns.
