Top Albums of 2016: METACRITIC

The critical roundup is often more useful (as some of the more obscure albums in this list just don't get enough reviews to render the average meaningful): http://www.metacritic.com/feature/critics-pick-top-10-best-a...

A down year for music (though it unfortunately seems like I've been saying that for the last 4 years). I've listened to everything in the top 20 in the critical list, and the only albums I'll likely be listening to in 2017 and beyond are the Radiohead and Bon Iver entries. Certainly tracks here and there I loved from Beyonce, Kanye, Anderson .Paak, Chance, and Frank, etc, but none of the other albums have grabbed me yet from start to finish. (That can always change, of course!)
