Here's to hoping they advance the plot at all. Love the jokes, love the characters, love the satire, but really wish they would stop resetting the plot to square one every few episodes.

You could skip the first three seasons and not really miss anything plot wise.

Its a character-driven satire. The plot is ancillary.

The plot is always an important part of any show.

>That's just like, your opinion, man

There are other examples of shows that do fine without strong plots. One example from the top of my head is "The Chinese Restaurant" episode in Seinfeld. Little to no plot at all in that episode. Just a string of funny interactions between characters.

I didn't say it wasn't important. I said it was ancillary. The whole point in satire is social critique. The plot in satire is just a vehicle for that, it's not necessarily important in and of itself.

The plots are very complex and involved. The story is cyclical, wherein the characters at the end of each season end up more or less where they began without having grown or changed. Typical for television.

Ditto

It doesn't worry me much with SV, it's The Walking Dead and Falling Skies really need to get moving, watching them feels more like a chore these days.

> HBO explained that the decision for Miller to depart the show was a mutual one.

This is disappointing.

Yeah I agree. I wonder why he wants to leave the show?

He lost big https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJsOA4Zl6Io

Maybe mostly due to his crazy schedule. He is in many upcoming movies and has a TV show. He also has to think of his future and right now he is in demand which may change in another year.

Probably because he's the dumbest man in SV? :) http://www.coderag.com/is-erlich-bachman-the-dumbest-man-in-... Anyway, will miss him.

He pretty much made the show in my opinion. Not sure if I'll enjoy S5.

Good. I might be able to watch this show now. I don't know what it is. His voice, his mannerisms. I couldn't get past the first season of the show because of him.

I like the show a lot, happy to hear.
