Better Source Map Support – ErrLytics
We, at ErrLytics, always try to make the web a better place for the developers by one step at a time. Previously we launched error and performance monitoring with instant alerting.
Now it's time for the next step which is source map support. Source Maps are an integral part of large javascript based web application. Developers use it now and then for reasons like obfuscating source code or reducing the bundle size. However, it has a bad side as well. The developer can not easily identify the root cause from stack trace of such minified files.
That's where ErrLytics comes in. With our new auto beautify feature, whenever the error comes with a stack trace and developer has uploaded source map to ErrLytics via our REST API, it will automatically be applied to it and we will show both minified and original stack trace to developers so they can fix the problem faster.
If the developer chooses not to upload source map to our servers, we allow them to drag and drop source map to beautify error. This feature is mostly not present in other services. We support it because we understand that sometimes the user is concerned about the data they upload to other people's server.
Do try out this feature and let us know your feedback. You can find more about this at https://errlytics.com/docs/sourcemaps
