Ask HN: Any possibility of a high schooler getting a web development internship?

I took a summer program last year where I learned JavaScript and since then I've been taking other online courses, teaching myself. I've also done a bit of freelance work. I've had an internship before but it wasn't web centered, so I did things like take out the trash, made calls, wrote emails. I did get to play around with WordPress though, and I added two pages to their website. That internship wasn't all bad, but right now like more guided learning, someone who could help by looking at mistakes in my code and offering suggestions. Summer just ended, but there are internships and junior positions I can hold during the school year, right? What's the best way to find these internships? Sure I can wait until college, but there's no time like the present. I'll be a senior this upcoming semester, and I live in NYC if that's important. I've made a few contacts over this past year, should I contact them and see if they're looking for interns?
