2 points·Restart-Button··5 comments

Ive been learning all I can about Web development / design for some time now but I need some book recommendations from other Web Designers in able further my knowledge and get my ideas off the ground.

What would you recommend to someone who is trying to get his first commercial, revenue generating website online?

W3Schools is one of the best free resources out there. http://www.w3schools.com/

Here are some books that I have used that have been helpful

PHP and MYSQL for Dynamic Websites http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0010SEMW8/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp...

Javascript: The Definitive Guide http://www.amazon.com/JavaScript-Definitive-Guide-David-Flan...

>"W3Schools" Tab Opened" >>"Fuck" >>>"Started Coffee" >>>>"Tomorrow Rescheduled"

Thank you very much!

For web design, I would recommend against a book. Create a delicious account and start tagging well designed sites as "inspiration".

Then steal, steal, steal.

Thankyou, My evil genius detector is going off :)

I'd recommend SimpleBits's (http://www.simplebits.com/) own books and their reading list at http://astore.amazon.com/simplebits-20.
