This is the desktop (AM4) version of the same Raven Ridge silicon as in the existing Ryzen Mobile product. Laptops are already shipping with the mobile TDP APUs since a little while ago.

The Ryzen 7 2700U and Ryzen 5 2500U have integrated Vega GPUs.

cTDP down to 46W sounds about OK for a "workstation"-type laptop.

Unclear whether it will be BGA-packaged though.

I can imagine seeing it on a Thinkpad P model.

Yeah, laptops will have the equivalent lower power chip in the 15-25W range and 2 GHz instead of 3.5. Doesn't change my feelings. :)

They already do. The laptop versions were released a couple of months ago.

There are cheap netbooks out now with Raven Ridge chips but I'm hoping for something higher end. With a TrackPoint or the equivalent.
