What was the ranking criteria? Angular.js [1] has 58k stars and jQuery [2] has 48k stars. Both are not on the list.

You sneaky guy just listed the cool stuff, haven't you?

Maybe you should rename the blog post to: Javascript projects I like on Github

1: https://github.com/angular/angular.js 2: https://github.com/jquery/jquery

What exactly is the criteria here? If you go by star count, the most popular JS project on GitHub is freeCodeCamp, not React.

And a number of other popular JS projects have also been excluded from this list?

it's interesting how this made it to top 2 of HN. is this astroturfing?

Agreed, this is a lame and useless page. Not worth anyone's time.

None of these surprised me except for HTML5Boilerplate. I was under the impression that jQuery was not as popular anymore. I would think this would reduce the use of HTML5Boilerplate.

JQuery still has a huge legacy footprint, and likely will for years to come.

It's not without some degree of irony it has eventually become the IE11 of JS libs.

Meteor being more popular than Express is interesting though.

Is it actually used as widely as Express?

Among some others in the list, I don't believe it. That's why so many people in these comments are calling this into question.
