And further, distinguishing the results of their black magic from simply improving the inherent meaningfulness of the site in question and letting the search engines do the work of finding relevant pages? Every "SEO" guy I've ever met felt to me like a used car salesman whose methodology has all the rigor of reading chicken bones and goat entrails.
