Ask HN: How did your call for help on Ask HN end?

Occasionally, someone going through a very time posts on Ask HN asking for help like the currently still active case: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=17684451.

Most times, there is an outpouring of help that is emotionally touching. From job offers, interest free loans, housing and you name it, pdxHomelessDev' has been offered all and their story might potentially end up very well. Now, this isn't the only case I have witnessed and was wondering whether other HNers who sought help, here, did actually get help to overcome the problems they were facing at the time.

Please tell us how your story ended?
