My startup got Nir Eyal as a paying customer and he agreed to give a testimonial

We recently landed Nir Eyal as a paying customer of our startup OneUp, and he gave us an awesome testimonial that we added to our landing page.

For those that are unfamiliar, Nir is the author of Hooked: How to Build Habit-Forming Products, which is co-written by Product Hunt founder Ryan Hoover.

We're pretty pumped about the endorsement!

How did we do it? Well after Nir signed up for a free trial, I recorded a personal thank you video for him, with me holding his book (it helped that I already owned it). He was really blown away by the personal touch

The takeaway is to do something that makes you stand out from the crowd.
