Ask HN: Opensourcing Www?

All, I want to get rally our company to open source our www public facing website. My motivation is, most of our code used to create www is opensource and I'd like to make it available to the community as an example of how we use Vue and other libraries within it.

My question is, what are some common things to think about before releasing your public facing codebase as opensource?

One specific question is, how should things like Company Logo that is apart of the codebase be handled?
