What is going on with extension reviews?

I submitted a fairly simple browser extension to every major browser web store (Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Opera).

- Firefox approve it almost immediately.

- Edge approved it after about a week.

- Chrome approved it after 2 weeks.

- Opera still hasn't approved it. (I'm not too concerned about Opera either, I was just curious how their process differed)

I selected "Unlisted" when submitting the Chrome extension because I thought I'd have some time to test installing it from the web store. After it was approved I went back to change it to "public" and it's now pending moderation again and has for about 2 days after that simple change. I made no other code or content changes.

This does not seem sustainable to me, I've worked on Chrome extension for years and this intense manual moderation is fairly recent. Does anyone know what's going on?
