Jessica Snouwaert may not understand this from her ivory journalist tower, but if I were running a charity, I don't give a damn about who gave me the $800k and no one can tell me $1.02 has anywhere near the same effect on people's lives as that $800k.
Zuckerberg's employment of 50,000 people is the same as the median person employing 0.06 people.
Do you believe those jobs wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for Facebook or Zuckerberg?
I'm confused what the implication of the title is supposed to be. Should he have given each restaurant $50 million? It really makes no sense to think of it as a percentage of his wealth, because it clearly brings $800k in benefits to the people he gave it to. And they even mention that he's pledged to donate 99% of his wealth... so why does it matter what amount of that goes to this specific cause? Doesn't the fact that he's giving away 99% of his wealth imply he's plenty generous?
This is swooping so low for a journalist. The guy donated 800k. Why do you always have to look at it as a percentage of this wealth? Not just look at the absolute number and appreciate it? You dont have anything better to report on?
