Ask HN: What's your smartphone data consumption?

Just wondering how much data a typical HN reader goes through in a month. Here in Canada data prices are outrageous and I was wondering if it would be possible to get by with 500MB if I avoid videos, app downloads, etc. My web usage is fairly heavy, but very low on video/other high bandwidth stuff. I get at most a dozen emails a day and send very few.
