Why renaming your master branch is a BAD IDEA in Git

Yes, master means your ‘owner’ in regards to slavery... But seriously though? You and I both know that the master branch is literally the ‘main’ branch, and anyway, if there is a master branch, what’s the ‘slave’ branch then?
