I don't like to default to 'andsowhat' approach, but this type of conversation tends to lead there. If we are go there, what is this abusive behavior?

Abusive behavior is behavior which Facebook decides turns away the users they want to keep.

So basically no standard. Can you see why it is a good idea not to try to keep pipes as dumb as possible?
