Apple's Operating Systems Are Malware

An inflammatory and radical headline perhaps, but it is essentially true.

Sadly most people don’t care about computers, and I fear most will only wake up to the threat of anti-user software when it starts to encroach on their everyday freedoms (which, despite my rhetoric, it generally does not - yet).

Most of this "freedom" we "Apple users" don't have, is very theoretical. I don't feel I lack anything I would have on Windows/Linux/Android and I work more efficient, easier and without frustration. I'm happy to give up some "freedom" I don't need.

+ I always have the freedom to switch my system in case I feel like it, don't I?

So is Windows & anything from Google. The only OS out there today that doesn't actively work against the user is Linux, and even that is not 100% on distros like Ubuntu.

This title is much too flamebaity for the article not to get flagged, but you could repost it with a more neutral title. Perhaps "How Apple's operating systems mistreat the user". That's the definition the article gives for 'malware'.

Hi Dang, I was just going to email you for clarification if I shouldn't post something similar in future. Thanks for the clarification and for the record I feel the same about the title, but as per HN guidelines I didn't editorialize the title myself.

I've posted it again here with title "How Apple's operating systems mistreat the user"

Edit: somehow I missed the suggested title (fixed it now)
