1. The new layout is an improvement over the previous. It looks more modern. However, the navbar and footer are not responsive so if you are using a small browser window or mobile device half of the nav and footer are hidden.
2. The login links are confusing. "I'm the wiz" is a login page, the login link is a login page. There are two additional login links for employers and employees at the bottom. I think it will be helpful to simplify this.
3. If your target market is in the United States you may want to consider somewhat different branding. I understand that the term "wiz" in this context is intended to refer to wizard or expert. However, in the part of the United States I am from, and perhaps all parts, the term "wiz" is also a slang term for urination. For example:
- "I need to take a wiz" = I need to use the restroom.
- "My job is making me take a wiz quiz" = My employer is making me take a urinalysis drug test.
For me, "wiz at home" has similar connotations and it was the first thing I thought of when I saw the name.
1) We are aware of the problem that navbar and footer are not responsive for very small browser window. However, we did test it on mobile devices. It is a different layout but both navbar and footer are showing up correctly on mobile (just tested on iPhone). Can you clarify what problem you are seeing on mobile device?
2) Agree that login links can be simplified
3) We did talk to a branding guy rather informally. He mentioned the chance of misinterpretation, but that the chance is very very small. An alternative is to use whiz instead of wiz. Looking up the urbandictionary.com, even "whiz" has this alternative connotation, but much lower in the list of possible meanings. What do you think? Is Whiz better than wiz? Thanks
Computer wiz: No negative connotations. Computer wizard is implied.
Wiz kid: Also fine. Wiz is an adjective implying competence or intelligence.
Take a wiz: Now the meaning of wiz has changed because wiz is the action.
Wiz at home: It's easy to read wiz in this context as an action one is doing, which is why I say it is the phrasing rather than the spelling.

In the right context this person is right. Used as noun or adjective its unlikely people will misconstrue the meaning. When it is easy to unintentionally interpret the use of wiz as an adverb or verb it becomes much easier to misconstrue the meaning.
