This article raises a lot more questions for me than it answers. How does this compare to iPhones? How about iPhones + iPad combined? How many of the Android devices are phones vs tabletes or other misc devices?

Apparently 270K iOS devices per day as of Oct 2010 and 366K iOS devices per day as of Jan 2011.

Other reports say the 350k number for Android is handsets only.

As an aside, does anyone know how to generate visualizations like the one in the article? Any tools folks use to do these?
