Ratcliffe has no credibility in the world of intelligence, where he lacks any previous experience, unlike his predecessors. Ratcliffe has been appointed to soothe the ego of his boss, nothing more.

I'll trust the word of the dozens of career professionals over that of a lawyer.

There's not a single piece of information in the article, other than the opinions of people who have no personal knowledge of any of the discussion other than what they read in the news.

DNI Ratcliffe is speaking for the entire IC. Like him or not, he's not an idiot, and to claim he has no previous experience when he sat on the house intelligence committee and was a prosecutor with significant experience in national security is a bit silly.
