Expensify's CEO emailed users to encourage them to 'vote for Biden'

While the irony of claiming that "only a vote for <person> will save democracy" was apparently lost on their CEO, as a Canadian I have zero interest in receiving political emails like this from vendors. Doubly so when the company does something as mundane as expense-tracking.

"I'm saying a vote for Trump, a vote for a third-party candidate, or simply not voting at all — they're all the same, and they all mean: 'I care more about my favorite issue than democracy. I believe Trump winning is more important than democracy. I am comfortable standing aside and allowing democracy to be methodically dismantled, in plain sight,'"

We're witnessing the term "Democracy" take on a new meaning in US politics. I predict the term will retain its dictionary definition to those on the right (about the process) while those on the left will adopt the term as a catch-all for progressive policies and ideas.
