Trump just took advantage of the situation --- making promises that people wanted to hear with no intent to deliver.
The truth --- the times they are a changin' and no politician can stop it. What really killed the coal industry is fracking and cheap natural gas --- which by the way, Trump is also a big fan of. Less pollution and less cost --- sold!
