Australia's government slams Facebook's move to block news content

I'm no fan of Google and Facebook.

But I'm also no fan of this government attempt at extortion.

Basically, this law singles out these two companies and requires them to enter into a binding contract at a rate set by others.

This was a mafia style deal that government thought they couldn't refuse --- but I guess they were wrong.

Absolute LOL, what the hell did the Australians expect. Interfere with the workings of the internet at your peril.
