Here are the 'wrong' illustrations that got six Dr. Seuss books cancelled

> Here are the ‘wrong’ illustrations that caused the Seuss Foundation to internally decide to no long print six Dr. Seuss books.

Fixed the title for the author, though I imagine the accurate title won’t generate the hysteria they’re looking for.

Note that even this article declined to show the drawings of the African tribesmen. I think the Seuss estate made the right call there.

How extremely vanilla, literally just cartoons of various traditional/diverse cultures, cartoons exaggerate features by their very nature, what the heck is happening and who is behind this shit?

Dr Seuss books weren't cancelled, a rights holder decided not to continue printing some books they held the rights to. The title of this article is hyperbolic nonsense.

Was playing Mario 64 the other day and realized it would probably also be cancelled today -- after all he's supposed to be Italian and says "Mama mia" and "lets-a-go" in the game. Explain why this would be acceptable if the things in these books is not?

Seems to me that Geisel's views evolved over time. He might even be making the exact same call were he still alive today.
