I feel exactly the opposite. These micro-optimizations at the individual level are never going to make a dent. Our time, energy, and money would be better spent on political organizing. The change has to be institutional and systemic.

Why not focus on developing emissions removal technology instead of trying to convince people & companies to reduce emissions? Frankly I don't think political organizing on an international scale will make a dent either, in a reasonable time frame.

I think we need to try every iteration of every possible solution, not just the one we think will be the most effective, because everything we've tried so far has failed.

The problem with institutional and systemic change is that it is affected by those who are in charge of those institutions, who are easily steered.
