Ask HN: Books You Read in 2021?
I'd like to know which books HN read this year 2021. Which book would you recommend? Book that are worth reading and very interesting.
I enjoyed the book for its depiction of an a-logical style of dealing with the world. The book describes the animist world view of a Siberian people, the Yukagir. It is interesting to me that their animism works for them just as the logical paradigm works for Westerners.
The animism of the Yukagir recognises the personhood of prey species; the spiritual conflict of the hunter whose intent it is to murder another person for food is real.
Walker Evans, American Photographs.
Wallace Stevens, Collected Poems.
