This study is of UK office workers. I’m surprised that on average participants spend half an hour a day looking for another job! I would like to see the distribution of responses to know whether this is truly normal.
This explains why I feel so exhausted when I incorporate a lot of work-like training and exploratory stuff into my day. I'm working at least 3 times more than most!
tl;dr Research suggests that in an eight-hour day, the average worker is only productive for two hours and 53 minutes.
