I really don't understand this sort of goalpost-moving.
This formal recognition of the Armenian genocide, which goes against the interests of a major NATO ally, is not an empty or even small gesture. Going the whataboutism path does nothing to change the importance of this political position, specially as a clear signal that principles trump opportunism.
If your first response to us doing something that is so clearly an ethical duty is “what’s in it for me?”, you should really think about what kind of a person you are.
