Comcast Internet down for “routine system maintenance” all day long?

I am in Fremont, CA, USA. This is bizarre and obviously unacceptable. “We're currently performing routine system maintenance. This may cause an interruption to your service. We began work on 04/26/2021 09:23 AM (Pacific), and this is expected to end 04/26/2021 04:00 PM (Pacific). We appreciate your patience. Would you like to receive updates via SMS about the progress of the outage?”
