Was anyone else annoyed that the "research paper" hotlink did not lead to the paper but to a list of "News tagged with research paper"?
I was hoping I could manage to understand enough to get an idea of what predictions this would lead to.
This makes me think of the loop quantum gravity hypothesis. It's sad that we probably won't find the answer in my lifetime.
Depends on how old you are.
Seems so hopeless. So many dead ends that each can suck up a whole career. But presumably somebody will be famous at the end of it all.
It’s not hopeless though? If they can devise ways to test for this fourth dimension then even if they find nothing it’s at least one more thing we know isn’t dark matter.
If all dead ends were as thoroughly documented as a scientist's whole career tends to be, we'd have a lot of dead ends less to re-discover again and again.
