Same, the UI of Nova is too flashy for my taste, I love the simplicity of BBEdit, and the perceived performance difference. I have been using Sublime and BBEdit intermittently , I will give it another try now that they support LSP.
As much as I love Panic and their software, BBEdit's LSP support is considerably more solid and its text editing engine is just a lot more powerful. There are still some advantages Nova has and it's certainly prettier, but after about a year of using Nova -- I started with the betas! -- it still feels nerfed compared to both BBEdit and Visual Studio Code (which I'd argue is its more natural competitor).
