Cars already have enough space and power for a real GPS tracker. I can't think of any new cars today that come without one.

What they don't have is the necessary internet connection unless you're willing to pay a cell phone bill just for that purpose.

That's the thing, they don't need internet with AirTags, they just need an Apple device to go by it in order to inform the owner
