Processing Crypto Payments with No Gateway Fees

To acquire crypto in the first place, I likely pay fees or have purchased mining equipment.
Crypto assets are also volatile, so I'm possibly losing future gains, realizing losses, or paying interest to borrow against my wallet.
Also, one of your premises is wrong -- that this isn't possible with fiat. I myself pay many people instantly to their bank account using Zelle with 0% fees.
Zelle[1] has 0% fees, is instantaneous, and requires only a bank account that the business likely already has.

Australia's version is called Osko[2], which is built on NPP[3].
So to make a true apples-to-apples, practical comparison, you have to look at the time, cost, and ease-of-use of transferring USD or AUD.
I don't know of any USD => crypto => USD that's faster, cheaper, or easier to use than Zelle, let alone all three.
I haven't used Osko, but my uninformed guess is that it's similar.
