I personally served with plenty of Singaporean-Malays. My first Officer Commanding was Malay. The idea that their faith renders them a risk is not a view we hold.
I suppose you are correct in pointing to their faith not being an issue, but their allegiances are still questioned by some. Why do Malays disproportionately make up the bulk of police/SCDF during NS?
