Where Have All the Ted Lasso's Gone?

While there is lots to learn from Sports esp team sports, you have to be careful for many reasons. Here are two big ones -

In sports, everyone agrees what the goal is - win the game. In the real world this is never the case. People will not agree on what the game is leave alone what a win is.

Secondly in sports, since everyone agrees what the game is, its much easier and clearer how to enforce rules, rank performance, develop deep understanding of whats required to win etc etc etc.

So all this makes its extra hard to be a Ted Lasso in the real world.

That said, totally agree, people who generate energy in others, hope and faith in others, not in some unconscious aw gee I was born this way routine, but consciously are invaluable to have around.

The key is to be conscious about whats required from you, to generate energy/hope/faith in other.

Also appreciate, support and protect those who do it well.
