After what happened with the coronavirus, the thing that interests me is how much of this system will also appear in the west with a different name. It is unclear that there are many holdouts in government with in-principle objections to such a system.

Realistically I don’t see this can be applied in Xi’s lifetime at scale to the vast poor rural area and population - if it did it means China would be entirely modernized.

A rather impressive bit of propaganda, someone put a huge amount of work into making it sound even-handed while promoting it.

So anything that doesn't align with the Western media's yellow-peril narrative is "propaganda" and can't be objective?

> and can't be objective?

Pathetic attempt of laying words into someone's mouth. You appear obsessed in general.

> Meanwhile the BBC pushes anti-China propaganda in plain sight.

> No doubt you're being paid by the CIA to post this.... dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb.

Be cool with it dude, it’s a western majority website - let them enjoy the high moral ground and remain their hope that China will destroy itself in next five years, over and over

Definitely. I also got a popup halfway through asking me whether I want to expand in China.

They are 2000 years late, Christianity already invented Punishments and Rewards' system as well as Greek and Roman Law.
