These displays are very popular with Raspberry Pi-based systems, e.g. the Lisperati (usually in horizontal orientation):

The display alone can be found on aliexpress for about $80:

bah. I'm waiting to snatch up a couple of the funky 4k 40+in curved panels and mount them vertically side by side for coding.

I want to be able to see my 500 line C macros all at once. Just to glory in the horror.

Be super careful with that setup! I did the same with a pair of 32” curved 4k monitors and they were large enough that I was slowly injuring my neck to look at the lower halves of the monitors. I have them oriented in landscape side-by-side now, and they’re honestly just too large even in that arrangement, but I’m at least not hurting like I was. That’s going to be one impressive workspace if it works for you!

It's not ultra-tall. It's quite short. It just happens to be ultra narrow.

I've never not wanted a device so fast.

If one of your displays is vertical, vertical videos are less annoying. And some are actually amazing.

"arandr" is good for setting up displays, so that the mouse moves on same horizontal level.

Kind of hilarious that the monitor is so “tall” but in the pics next to the regular monitor, it can only fit like four or five tweets in that space.
