A Full List of Denied Vanity License Plates – Oregon DMV 2021

In Australia we have provisional licenses which have certain restrictions like passenger count, curfew etc. A person with a provisional license much display an ‘L’ or a ‘P’ plate on the vehicle, commonly placed beside the license plate. I had a great idea to buy the plate ‘ENIS’ and put the P plate beside it but I had already finished my provisional and was on my open license by the time I thought of it. I hope another zoomer can carry the torch for me.

This was worth reading. Some of them are pretty funny, even if inappropriate for a license plate.

I was most surprised that references to alcohol are illegal, e.g. MERLOT or DISTLR which really don't seem like a problem. As well as TOPLES which is a pretty logical one for a convertible and hard for me at least to see why you wouldn't let someone have it.

Something like HIGH AF on the other hand I get it (even if personally I think it's fine)

Whiskey is part of the NATO alphabet and should be allowed.

Most alcohol probably should be as well, come to think of it they should allow them all.

Personalised plates suck as it's an statement of eliteness. France doesn't allow them at all.
