Ask HN: Looking for Roles in NYC

I've been working as a software engineer in Ad Tech for 3 years now. I've worked largely in developing, maintaining, monitoring big data pipelines that process TB/day. I have strong skills in AWS/Spark/Python, but I am happy to grow into a new challenge. I am happy with my compensation and benefits, but less enthused by the advertising industry - it doesn't inspire me to work hard. I would love to work somewhere with more young people and in a more interesting industry (i.e. education or biotech). It would be a great plus if there were more opportunities to grow into non-SWE work as well. I am interested in staying in NYC. Any ideas??
