In contrast, when I heard the problem statement, I thought that this is probably something I could do with ffmpeg and a little bit of shell scripting. No need to download, install, and configure and learn (or not...) another application. Then again, my media setup is also likely to be far simpler than the author's, and my usual way of thinking when problem-solving is "do what you can, with what you have, where you are."
