They're not really a neo-nazi battalion. Everyone is too sensitive about anything to do with nazis. It was started by some far-right extremists, but who cares. Ypu might also be surprised to learn that America was founded by a bunch of slave owners, Einstein slept with his cousin, Santa claus isn't real.
Yeah I don't really have a problem with sending neo-nazis to the front to defend their country from invaders. Not quite sure why there's all this hand-wringing about a single battalion. I'm pretty sure almost every army has a disproportionate amount of far-right extremist. So long as they don't attempt a coup I don't see a problem.

Would anything about your opinions change if this turned out to be extremely incorrect?
I don't think I can ever understand the cognitive dissonance of Azov fighting Russians to defend a country with a Jewish President (and PM). Although antisemitism in Ukraine certainly exists, the current administration and zeitgeist seems to be opposed to neo-nazi ideals. At the very least, more so than many other Eastern European countries.
What's really peculiar is that most of these neo-Nazi groups in Ukraine are funded by Kolomoyskyi. Fascism has never been a coherent ideology.
