Another way to throw the baby out with the bathwater: disconnect and turn off your computer, for security.

open source software doesn't mean anything other than source is "open" - security is orthogonal. And also, just because more eyeballs are on it doesn't mean it is automagically more secure.

Geez, I wondered how they got Samsung data by hacking Nvidia.. terrible title by the article writers there.

Understand the mining rig/NVIDIA demands but why are they going after Samsung? Is there some connection or is it just general ransom target because they can etc
