Moderna to ask FDA to authorize Covid-19 vaccine in children 6 months to 6 years

The good: 100% effective against severe illness. Moderna plans to ask for approval in weeks.

The bad: Only 40% effective against symptomatic infection during the Omicron surge. It's not going to do a lot to curb spread through preschools and daycares.
