Stackoverflow.com is unusable without JavaScript (due to April Fools)

I'm reading it using a text only w3m browser and it looks perfect.

Charset and indentation is exactly right

Links and comment structure stands out well

It renders the entire page instantly

Its a truly "static" web-page because things stay where they should be instead of being a 1990's geocities site with elements jumping around like fleas on methamphetamine.

I highly recommend text only browsing if you are a serious computer user. JavaScript, style-sheets and almost about everything about the modern browsing experience is little but a bloody nuisance and impediment to real work.

Maybe it's two+ years of pandemic, maybe its the war, maybe it's because I'm old; but these April Fool's jokes are really getting under my skin, particularly those that mess with site functionality.

It becomes readable again if you turn off CSS, too. I use this bookmarklet to disable all stylesheets.

javascript:(function(){for(i=0;x=document.styleSheets[i];++i)x.disabled=true;})();

I wouldn't mind if it stayed like this. The performance is crazy.
